The Urban Earth Oven

  Earth Ovens cook foods like no other oven and are ideal for breads or pizza. Made out of cob, they can be sculpted into any form imagined and are wonderful additions to any backyard, garden or patio. Using recycled and local materials, Earth Ovens are an affordable alternative to brick or pre-cased ovens while adding an unique sculptural presence. Since the majority of the building materials are, sustainable, recycled and/or unfired, Earth Ovens embody little energy, making them very ecologically balanced.  Earth ovens also serve well as community ovens, bringing people back together to rejoice in the good conversation, music and of course, great food.

If you are interested in having an earth oven, we would be glad to design and build you a custom oven. If you want to build the oven yourself, we offer consulting services and teach oven building workshops. If you have land to build on, you might want to think about hosting a workshop.
